ABEOKUTA SET FOR FIRST EVER EQ SEMINAR

ABEOKUTA SET FOR FIRST EVER EQ SEMINAR

The Ogun state Capital, Abeokuta is set for the first ever Emotional Intelligence Seminar in the state  tagged "Abeokuta EQ Hangout".

The event which is packaged by Relationship Pendulum Africa, an organization which has it  tentacles across Africa, is set to hold on 14th of December this year at Goldzek Gardens and Bars located at Ibara Housing Estate.

Speaking to News Men in Abeokuta, the Brain Behind the event, Micheal Jacob who is a Globally Certified EQ Professional revealed that the seminar is meant to expose indigenes of Abeokuta and Ogun state at large to the competences of emotional intelligence.

While speaking on the need for Emotional intelligence, He said,      We are always in an emotion even when we try to be emotionless. We may not show an emotion, but the fact that our bodies secrete hormones and we are interpreting the world around us causes us to perceive the world, assess it and experience a sensation –feel an emotion.

Emotions affect our health, our relationships and our financial well-being. How we respond to other people and events in our lives often determines how people respond to us. The course of our lives often depends on our level of emotional intelligence (EQ).

So after my last international Certification Course, I saw a need to give back to my immediate environment of which Abeokuta seems to be closer, and I intend to give the same quality of exposure I had during my last training to people who  would have the privilege to be part of this first ever EQ event in the state" He said

Micheal further added that, the choice of location is deliberate as  requirements of the course need a nature inclined and serene environment.

"We really want to thank Goldzek for partnering with us on this about to make history event" He added

HOW I BECAME SUCCESSFUL WITH BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY, CRYPTOCURRENCY -Peter Oloje

Peter Oloje, King of High-Yield Investments and C.E.O. of Valborg-Selma Limited is a Nigeria born Economist, who holds an  Ordinary National Diploma in Business Administration from Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State and a B.Sc. in Economics from University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. How he rose from being an employee to becoming an employer of labour worth multiple of Millions has been a puzzle in the mind of the people. In an exclusive interview with news men, he narrate his journey in from nothing to something massive. Read on

We gathered you are launching four books on the 25th of August, Is that true? What is the motivation behind that?

Ans: You are right. My maiden book C – MYTH, alongside three other books, Digital Money Perfected, Poverty Escape Route and The Face Behind The Mask will be launched. What motivated these four books, especially, C - MYTH is the global misconceptions of cryptocurrency. There is high level of knowledge gap especially at the government level. You wonder why Russia, Turkey, Germany and other powerful nations are in support of the subject matter and some countries like ours find it difficult to understand the intricacies. So I put up the book to educate people who may want to either invest in it or know more about it.

Can you tell us about the four books?

Ans: C - MYTH is about educating the whole world about the pros and cons, plus the good, bad and ugly of cryptocurrency. DMP is to educate anyone who is interested in one of the cryptocurrencies I endorse - Dascoin. It's one of the reliable crypto that will go mainstream and help people overcome basic crypto challenges. Majority of people are clueless on how to metamorphose from their poor state to richness, PES is to enlighten open-minded people on what to do while TFBTM is to shed light on the deceptive nature of we human beings.

Are they all in hardcopy?

Ans: For now, we are going to produce hard-copy of C - MYTH while others will be e-book including C - MYTH.

What kind of Business are you into?

Ans: Interesting question. Am a serial investor with special interest in the Blockchain Technology and Cryptocurrency, Real Estate, Gold Investment and Investment Education via Book Writing.

Before you ventured into cryptocurrency trading, what kind of business were you into?

Ans: For almost a decade, I was in the Financial Service industry. I worked with REAN Finance (Now Royal Exchange Finance and Investment Ltd) from August 29, 2008 to December 31, 2014, after which I went to complete my degree program. I returned in 2015 and started to work with KC Finance (Now Credite Capital). I ventured fully into business In June 2016.

Is Digital Gold trading, the same as cryptocurrency trading? Do you trade that too?

Ans: What I did prior to crypto was online gold investment. It's not the same business process with crypto. We don't trade gold. What we do is to invest and encourage other open-minded and forward looking people to also invest. It's a very lucrative business that could give over 200% yield if done properly. I also educate people on how to do the gold business right and not in the popular deceptive manner.

Looking at your net worth, can you say you are worth Multi-Millions courtesy crypto currency trading?

Ans: (Laughs)  To the glory of God, am far more better  than I was two years back, courtesy of my numerous investments.

Can you tell us about the journey becoming a young millionaire?

Ans: Trust me, the journey is rough and narrow, only few can take it. I thank God I’m one of the passionate few serial investors around. If I tell you it's easy, I’m setting you up for colossal failure lol. With the right skill, mindset and action, the journey has been made easy. All glory be to Jehovah.

Some Economists believe digital currency cannot stand the test of time and that its trading is very risky. Do you agree with this?

Ans: Chapter 3 of the book C - MYTH explained the popular 21 myths of cryptocurrency, while chapter 5 talks about the good, bad and ugly of the subject. You see, a lot of people, Economist or not, do not understand the underlying factors behind Blockchain Technology and Cryptocurrency. Trust me, I don't blame them. It all boils down to knowledge gap. Tell me what business is risk-free? Do you expect crypto to be an exception of a risk-free venture? People are running away from manufacturing business because of the capital intensity and numerous risk right. Are there no people making good money from it? Get knowledge, and other things will be simple.

How many years have you been trading on crypto currency? Which of the currencies?

Ans: Cryptocurrency came to limelight in 2009. For a very long period, I committed myself to the study of the subject matter to see if it will stand the test of time. I delved into it fully when I found my footings right. It's been a couple of years I began crypto business journey.

We heard you just set up an organization. What services will the organization provide?

Ans: Yes. Due to the rapid expansion of my business, I separate the business from myself and that is what gave birth to one of the fastest rising company globally now - Valborg-Selma Limited (RC: 1502961). VSL is focused on sharing her experience in the new asset class, specifically Blockchain Technology and Crypto currency. Also, marketing of reputable individuals and corporate organization products and/or services. More information is available at https://valborgselma.com/pages/about-us/

To a lay man who doesn’t know what digital money, crypto currency is, how would you explain?

Ans: In chapter 10 of my book C - MYTH, I gave up to 25 simple definitions of Cryptocurrency. It's just like Economics that has various definitions. I will simply define it as a medium of exchange that uses encryption to secure the processes involved in generating units and conducting transactions. For better understanding, follow this link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HLYuxoytR3s

Can you tell us about you? Background, education, marital status?

Ans: Let me start by saying I am Peter Oloje,I’m a High-Ticket Closer. I’m an exceptionally enthusiastic person, different serial investor, business mover and mindset trainer. I’m from the land of honour - Ekiti State. Born to the most reputable family of Oloje. I have an Ordinary National Diploma in Business Administration from Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State and a B.Sc. in Economics from University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. Married to the best woman living on earth. I’m father of a boy and a girl.

I’m Not Jealous Of Mercy Aigbe's New House, I Also Have Many Houses In Lagos – Lanre Gentry

The news went viral last year when popular actress, Mercy Aigbe, alleged that her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry, had physically assaulted her. .
.
.
According to the actress, Gentry often battered her and the last incident was the straw that broke the camel’s back. In his defence, Lanre denied ever laying his hands on his wife. .
.
.
However, the incident led to Mercy moving out of Gentry’s house and they have been estranged ever since. .
.
.
It is no news that Mercy has been doing well for herself since she left Gentry. She recently bought a house in Lagos and opened a new store in Ibadan, among other achievements. This has led many to insinuate that Gentry is jealous of her success. .
.
.
In a chat with Sunday Scoop however, Gentry vehemently debunked the insinuations. He said, “I have no reason to be jealous of the fact that Mercy bought a house. Do you know how many houses I have in Lagos alone? I am not jealous of anyone because God always makes me happy.” .
.
.
Responding to a question on whether there are any reconciliation plans in the offing between them, Gentry said, “I am not angry with her and we are not fighting. We are together and we will always talk.” .
.
.
But is he willing to take another wife? Lanre said, “I have no plans to do that for now because I am still legally married to Mercy but time will tell. I am waiting to hear from her (as regards dissolving the marriage legally).” .
.
.
Speaking on his recent face-off with Zone 2 Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, in which he enjoined her to counsel her celebrity friends in Nollywood to stop living fake lives after she made a post online warning people to stop living misleading lives,
.
.
Gentry said, “Dolapo is my very good friend and a very nice police officer. I just told her to talk to all her friends in the Nigerian entertainment industry that live fake lives that they should desist from doing that.” .

I Have A Problem With Men Holding The Door For Women – Chimamanda Adichie

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was a guest on Trevor Noah’s show where she touched on topics like chivalry.

The celebrated author said chivalry, for example opening doors for people, shouldn’t be gender-based and women should also open the door for men. She also spoke about what happens in crisis situations where women and children are usually giving preference to men.

She said this shouldn’t be so because there are women who are stronger than men, and as such, priority should be placed on the weak and young not based on gender.

She told Trevor Noah:-
I thing gestures like holding the door shouldn’t be gender-based. I think it’s a lovely thing to hold the door but we should hold the door for everyone.
Like, I hold the door for men and for women. And so I think the idea of someone holding the door for a woman because she’s a woman… I have trouble with it.

I’m quite happy for people to hold the door for me. But I’m like, hope they’re not doing it because of this sort of idea of chivalry.

Because chivalry is really about the idea that women are somehow weak and need protecting. But we know that really, there are many women who are stronger than men.

Speaking of women being thought of as weak and given preferential treatment in crisis situations, the writer said:

So really, what I think is that the people we should protect are people who need protecting, whether men or women. Which is also why I sort of have trouble with the idea of women and children.

When women are classified in the same… I mean, when there’s a tragedy and we say, women and children should leave first. I think, actually, it’s the people who are weak, unwell, young… who should leave first.

Abiola’s Family Writes Buhari Over GCFR Award, June 12

The Abiola family has written to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for awarding the nation’s highest honour to their patriarch, MKO Abiola, the presumed winner of the 1993 June 12 presidential election.

Mr Buhari announced the award on Wednesday and also declared June 12 as democracy day starting from 2019, shifting the date from May 29.
The decision has drawn mixed reactions from Nigerians. Mr Buhari also honoured late activist, Gani Fawehinmi, and Mr Abiola’s vice presidential candidate, Babagana Kingibe.

In a letter to the president, dated June 6, 2018, Mr Abiola’s son, Kola, said he was appreciating the decision on behalf of the family.

“Your Excellency, as I wrote in my letter to you on June 12, 2016, in our minds, the award was the only befitting recognition of the importance of Chief Abiola’s fight for democracy for Nigeria which culminated in 4 years incarceration/solitary confinement and decimation of his business and financial interests, before the ultimate sacrifice, being his life on July 7, 1998 at the age of 60,” he wrote.

“Your Excellency, your decision to also designate June 12 as Democracy Day rights the wrongs done to all the nation-builders and heroes that produced that produced the democratic credentials on which the Nigerian polity now thrives. We are profoundly grateful to the people from all corners of Nigeria that worked tirelessly to ensure the most free and fair elections in our nation’s history in 1993, fought valiantly for the Hope ’93 mandate given to Bashorun Abiola by the Nigerian people and died trying to protect the mandate.”

“Mr President, I thank you earnestly for heeding our plea where others before you did not, whilst conveying the assurances of my highest esteem.”

"Don't Rely On Certificate Alone" - Osinbajo Charges Youths

Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Thursday in Ibadan, charged Nigerian youths never to rely on their academic certificate alone to survive.
Osinbajo, who spoke at the 10th convocation ceremony of the Lead City University, Ibadan where 590 students were awarded first degree certificates.
The vice president who was the special guest at the ceremony, said, “I was 60 years old in March this year, and I must confess that one of the greatest surprises I ever experienced was that I just suddenly became 60. I can clearly remember when I graduated from the university. I was 21 years old at the time. How time flies.
“One of the important lessons that you will learn is that time flies whether you are wasting it or you are using it well. It simply flies back. At the age of 60 years, I am entitled to give some advice.
“By talent, a good degree and coming from a very well to do family does not bring success and certainly it does not bring greatness. The most talented people, those who get the best degrees do not necessarily become the most successful in life.
“The difference between success and failure, mediocrity or excellence is character. Along with character is opportunity, perhaps the most crucial is the place of God.”
